The Ninja Blast is it worth it?
Well it depends if you need it. I bought this in April of 2024 to see how it compares to the BlendJet2 as I have had the BlendJet2 for about 2 years and loved it.
Well it’s better than the BlendJet. Now BlendJet2 lost some points with me for their recall and how they handled it but the Ninja Blast works so much better.
The Pros:
- It blends very well! It all comes out very smooth. I’ve used frozen strawberries, frozen pineapples and frozen spinach in this and it has no issues blending it all up!
- Its pretty quiet! This is much quieter than the BlendJet2. It doesn’t seem to work as hard blending frozen fruits as the BlendJet2 does which is great because being quieter you have no issues waking anyone up in the mornings.
- Personally I think the price point is fair I paid $59 on HSN and it came with the blade cover and a bottom cap so I can take the blender part off if need be.
- The ON/OFF button I love this because you can’t accidentally turn it on and it go everywhere! The BlendJet2 does not have this option.
- The lid I like this lid as you can just drink out of it. That is convenient and also makes an extra security if you don’t turn it off and accidentally turn it on.
- It takes 30 seconds to blend everything and you really don’t need any longer. Personally I do 2 cycles but I want to make sure it is smooth smooth. I have trust issues because the BlendJet2 you definitely need more than 1 cycle.
- 18oz!
The Cons:
- The lids I personally don’t like that you have to put it down and kind of hear it click to lock it in place. It seems like you may break it off. Also the spout where you drink its weird always makes a bubble after you drink, again not a big deal but kind of weird.
- The purple light that turns solid when its ready to blend. You can barely see this in the sunlight so if you are on the go you have to add some shadow to see if its solid or not. Its not a big deal tbh but if you can’t see well you just have to wait a few seconds before trying to blend.
- No charging brick. I don’t know what is with companies not sending a charging brick with their items but I hate it. They act like we have a million of them sitting around and we don’t. for $59 they can send a charging brick.
- Lack of colors. BlendJet has them on colors. The colors Ninja offers are eh ok I wasn’t super happy with the Purple but its not bad But I would love a nice pink color because the one they have in pink does not look good.
Pro and Con:
- The stickers. I like that they put the stickers on here because they tell you what all the colors mean which is handy but they can come off! They should print them on it so that we don’t have to worry about the sticker coming off because lets be real we prob aren’t keeping the user guide and 6 colors thats a lot.
Overall I love it. I have 3 BlendJet2s that I won’t be using and shipping one of them to my mom to try to see if she will like portable blenders as she is on a new healthy lifestyle as well. If you have a BlendJet2 and are thinking of getting another don’t! Get the Ninja Blast! If you are thinking of getting a portable bender get the Ninja Blast it really is great! Its better than the BlendJet2, the nutribullet go, magic bullet etc.
