Should You Buy the Ninja Blast?
Whether the Ninja Blast is worth it really depends on your lifestyle and how much you value convenience and performance in a portable blender.
The Pros:
- Smooth Blending
The Ninja Blast does a great job blending, even frozen ingredients like strawberries, pineapples, and spinach. Everything comes out smooth without any issues. - Quiet Operation
Unlike the BlendJet2, the Ninja Blast is quieter. It blends frozen fruit without struggling, which is great because you won’t wake anyone up in the mornings. - Affordable Price
At $59 (I bought mine from HSN), the Ninja Blast offers good value. It also comes with a blade cover and a bottom cap, so you can easily remove the blender part when needed. - Safe ON/OFF Button
One feature I love is the ON/OFF button, which prevents accidental spills. Unlike the BlendJet2, you won’t turn it on by mistake, making it more convenient and secure. - Drink-From Lid
The lid is a nice touch, as you can drink directly from it. Not only does this make it super convenient, but it also provides an extra layer of security—if you accidentally leave it on, you won’t risk a mess. - Quick Blending
It only takes about 30 seconds to blend your ingredients, which is usually enough. Personally, I do two cycles for a super smooth blend, but you could probably get away with just one. I’ve found that with the BlendJet2, you often need multiple cycles for the same result. - Perfect Size
The 18oz capacity is ideal for a quick, portable smoothie.
The Cons:
- Lid Issues
One downside is the lid. It requires a little force to click into place, and it can feel like you might break it. Also, the spout where you drink can sometimes make a weird bubble sound, though this is a minor issue. - Difficult-to-See Indicator Light
The purple light that turns solid when the blender is ready to blend is hard to see in bright sunlight. While this isn’t a huge problem, it can be a bit annoying if you’re on the go and can’t tell if it’s ready. - No Charging Brick
I don’t understand why some companies don’t include a charging brick, and the Ninja Blast is no exception. For $59, they could have included one, as not everyone has spare bricks lying around. - Limited Color Options
While BlendJet offers a wide variety of colors, the Ninja Blast only comes in a few, and I wasn’t thrilled with the purple. I’d love to see more color options, especially a nice pink, since the existing pink option doesn’t look great.
A Pro and a Con: The Stickers
I appreciate the stickers on the Ninja Blast, as they explain what each color means, which is helpful. However, they’re not very durable, and they can come off over time. It would have been better if they were printed directly on the blender to avoid this issue.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I love the Ninja Blast. As a mom who leaves for work early (6:30 AM), it’s perfect for when I need something quick and portable. I can toss my ingredients in, blend while driving to work, and enjoy a smooth drink without needing to shake or blend multiple times. I’ve actually replaced my BlendJet2s with the Ninja Blast, and I’m even sending one to my mom to see if she likes it, as she’s also adopting a healthier lifestyle.
If you’re in the market for a portable blender, I highly recommend the Ninja Blast. It outperforms the BlendJet2, Nutribullet Go, Magic Bullet, and other similar products. I’ve tested all of these before I started blogging, and they just don’t blend as well or provide the convenience of blending and drinking on the go in one smooth process. The Ninja Blast blends everything well in one cycle—no shaking or multiple tries needed!
However, a word of caution: while the Ninja Blast can blend ice cream, you may need to blend it twice to achieve the desired consistency. But don’t worry—you won’t have to shake it or press the button repeatedly. It’s an easy process, and I demonstrate this in my video review.
