A New Family Member: Meet Ms. Mia!
We recently added a new family member to our household, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce her! We found her on the side of the highway, and after bringing her in and keeping her for a few days, we were told by animal control that she was a regular visitor there. 😔
In our state, pet owners have a 10-day window to reclaim their pets after they’ve been found, as long as they pay any fines. Unfortunately, as you can guess, the owners didn’t come to pick her up. Honestly, I’m relieved they didn’t, as she was in poor condition, and many people mentioned that her living conditions were less than ideal.
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to Ms. Mia! She’s an 8-year-old German Shepherd (she’ll be 9 this year). Tomorrow (Thursday) she’ll be having her first vet visit, and we’re excited to make sure she gets the care she deserves.
We knew when we adopted her that she doesn’t have a lot of time left, but our goal is to give her the best rest of her life. And let me tell you, she’s certainly living it up—well, at least most of the time. 😂 She’s definitely enjoying all the attention, though I think she’s starting to get a little annoyed with all the love.
As for my son—oh my gosh, he is absolutely in love with her. He’s such a huge dog lover, which is surprising considering he’s been bitten by a dog before! But with Ms. Mia, he’s in heaven.
We’re so happy to have her in our family, and we can’t wait to see all the joy she brings into our lives.
